For many years I assumed that strongholds were built up by demons, and because I believed this I always prayed against demonic strongholds but in the past few years, I received a life-changing revelation from the Lord through His Word and through His Spirit that gave me the truth about strongholds.
It’s we ourselves who create and allow strongholds in our lives and these strongholds provide hiding places for demons to manipulate our lives our health our wealth and our future.
Maybe you’ve faced a stubborn barrier that seems to keep you from increase and advancement in life or what God has called you to—you need to break it down.
Break Strongholds Down
Strongholds are bastions, barriers, safe places for demons to hide behind and operate in our lives, families, churches, and businesses. Strongholds cannot be managed they must be demolished, and when you declare war against the strongholds in your life, you’re going to see a dramatic effect on your relationships your success your finances and your future.
1. Declare War on Strongholds
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
2. Expose all areas of Darkness to the Lord
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
3. Align Your Life: Spirit, Soul, and Body
1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
4. Believe the Living Truth—Jesus Christ—has set you free!

Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
5. Trust the Spirit of Truth (He knows where to “tinker” in your life)
1 Corinthians 2:12 NLT
And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.

7. Get others free of strongholds

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
God’s Goals:
- Healed and free people
- Healed and free marriages, families, and churches
- Healed and free communities, territories, and cultures
- Total Freedom, authority from the kingdom and in the kingdom to change twisted culture
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. [Greek: a past event with progressive effects; not completed effects].2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.2 Corinthians 7:1 (NKJV)
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
