Every morning, I plead the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ over my life (spirit, mind, and body). I plead the precious Blood of Jesus over my wife, my children, my staff, our church, our leaders, and our prayer partners.
I Peter 1:18-19 NLT
For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
The Blood of Jesus is precious and powerful. We were not redeemed by the traditions of the church elders. We were not redeemed with corruptible things like silver or gold. We were redeemed with the precious Blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish or spot.
In a foreshadowing of the protecting power of the Blood, we see God instructing the Israelites in the Old Testament to put blood on the doorposts of their homes to protect the occupants from the Angel of Death. All who put the blood of a lamb on their doorposts were spared great tragedy and even death.
Exodus 18:7, 13
They are to take some of the lamb’s blood and smear it on the top and sides of the doorframe of the house where the lamb will be eaten.
The blood you have smeared on your doorposts will serve as a sign. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.
The Blood of Jesus is not only precious—it’s powerful! Think of it this way; Leviticus 17 tells us that life is in the Blood.
Leviticus 17:11 NLT
For the life of any creature is in its blood. I have given you the blood so you can make atonement for your sins. It is the blood, representing life, that brings you atonement.
Jesus Christ was 100 percent God, and 100 percent man. That means that the Blood of God Himself was flowing through the veins of Jesus. The Life of God was actually in His Blood because the life is in the blood.
When we plead the blood of Jesus over something, the very life of God goes into the situation. I want the life of God in me, on me, around me, and through me. I want the life of God in my family, my health, and my finances. I want the life of God in my problems so that the life of God can bring solutions. When I plead the Blood of Jesus, I’m pleading the life of God into a situation. Just look at the blessings of the Blood of Jesus:
- Exodus 12:13, it protects us
- Hebrews 9:22, it brings us forgiveness
- Romans 5:9, it declares us righteous
- Ephesians 2:13, it brings us near to God
- Hebrews 13:20, it brings us success in our ministry and our work.
It’s so simple, why not do it?
Here’s how I plead the Blood of Jesus:
The Blood of our Lord Jesus is:
- saving
- healing
- cleansing
- delivering
- protecting
- miracle working
Therefore, I plead the precious Blood of Jesus over my:
- Life (spirit, mind, and body)
- Family (name them)
- Property to which God has entrusted me
- Future
- Church and Pastor
- City
- State
- Country
Start the day by speaking the Word, “This is the day the Lord has made. I, therefore, make a choice to rejoice and be glad in it.” And next, plead the Blood of Jesus over your life, (spirit, mind, and body) and then over everyone else you care about and know
I don’t have a comment but a question and that is wether I can use this teachings in my local church?
K. Quayson, thanks for asking. Feel free to use these steps and pass them along to your congregation. Have a blessed day!

Enjoyed this immensely.
I love this. I want to know more about the blood of Jesus.
Thank you so much pastor Dave. For the next 8 weeks I am in a women’s group called “Fervent”. This study is using the book Fervent written by Priscilla Shirer, One of the people who was in the War Room movie. I felt that this word about the Blood of Jesus is very timely and fits right in to what I am studying right now. I have a friend that is being attacked right now and has a lot to work through. The rest of us can see it is not to be worried about but she just needs this covering of the blood and stand against the evil one to protect her mind and spirit thoughts. I shared this word with her just now and am waiting for her answer.
Thank you again for sharing this.
God bless you and Mary Jo

Thank you pastor. It’s so clear and easy to understand. God bless.
Thank you, Pastor Dave, for sharing this. I have been pleading the blood of Jesus for several years the way you indicated above because I heard you teach on this subject when you were my pastor. I know it works! I have had divine protection from several car accidents and so much more. Also, just by saying this is the day that the Lord has made and I choose to rejoice and be glad in it helps to prepare me to focus more on God’s goodness during the day and not my circumstances.
VERY REASUREING AND TRUE !
Thank you for being a blessing always Pastor Dave
Great article!! This blood of Jesus is the reason why I am here responding to this article. It has saved my LIFE. Praise be to Yahweh our God.
The blood of Jesus is a wonderful and powerful weapon.
I also plead the blood of Jesus over my whole family and friends.
What are we using in ministry to indicate the blood of Jesus? Answer : wine or grape juice.
Early one morning in June last year I was busy in my war room (study) at home. It came to mind that wine indicates the blood of Jesus. I believe that it was the Holy Spirit talking to me. I then went and buy a bottle of red wine and pour it out all along the borders of my property. I prayed and told the Lord and proclaim it to the devil and unclean spirits that this indicate the blood of Jesus and no unclean spirit or any person who enters the property to steal or to harm to my family will be able to cross the blood of Jesus.
We went to Lesotho during July last year, for two weeks, and more than 115 people accepted Jesus as their personal savior and many were baptized with the Holy Spirit. We traveled to and from Lesotho (just over 3 000 km’s) without any incidents.
My eldest son battles to get any sales all of a sudden he was the best sales person for the month of September, October and November. An architect contact my daughter who is a architectural drafter to come and work for him with a huge increase. My middle sun applied for work online (internet) and got a fantastic job within four days.
The blood of Jesus is a powerful weapon.
Great and Powerful Truth it is time for us as believer’s to stand on all the promises if Christ the church in general has not taught the saints how to live a life of power and victory. Pastor thank God for you to teach the Full Gospel

I rattling glad to find this website on bing, just what I
was looking for 😀 as well saved to bookmarks.
I strongly believe in the power of the blood Covenant that Jesus made with the Father by His own blood and by our salvation we become heirs of that Covenant, and joint heirs with Christ, I believe through that covenant we have been delivered from all of Adams curse, it’s how we release the power of the blood covenant in our lives I want to know, every time I read in Acts when the apostles dealt with a sickness or evil spirit, they never spoke and said “I plead the blood over you so come out”, they would tell them to come out in the name of Jesus, going on to the epistles they do not teach pleading the blood by means of voicing those words, so i want to be fundamentally right in my belief according to scriptures and would like to know where is the scriptures where it teaches the church to do this.
