After Christmas, many people tend to think about resolutions for the coming new year. This year be sure to include some spiritual resolutions too. Maybe you want to attend church more regularly. Better yet, consider spending more time praying and reading the Bible. God has given us the ability to achieve a host of things through the power of our wills.

Here’s another resolution to consider: Giving more to God’s work through your local church and ministries like this one.

Why would you want to do that?

Consider these scriptures:

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this, says the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing, that there will not be room enough to receive it. – Malachi 3:10 MEV

The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will be watered also himself. – Proverbs 11:25 MEV

Give, and it will be given to you: Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will men give unto you. For with the measure you use, it will be measured unto you. – Luke 6:38

See, when you give faithfully to God, He will in return bless your life. Dave Williams says, “When you put first what’s on God’s heart, God will put first what’s on your heart.”

It’s a guaranteed way to make sure your New Year gets off to the best start possible. Making a resolution to give to God, and put him first in your life, is guaranteed to bring you blessed rewards.

We have a chance in the next few days to end 2017 well and get a jump on our resolve to be more generous in 2018. Please consider a special year-end gift.
