The “Oops” Most People Don’t Talk About

Many people are quietly living with financial “oops” moments—decisions that led to pressure, stress, and limitation. Not always visible on the outside, but very real on the inside. If we’re honest, most of us can look back and see where we missed it, ignored wisdom, or made choices that didn’t move us forward.

We often hear, “Money isn’t important.” But real life tells a different story. A lack of money creates worry, tension in the home, and limits what you can do for your family and others. That’s one reason God speaks so often about money—because He knows how deeply it affects our lives and decisions.

Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor…”

The gospel means “good news.” And good news to someone who is struggling financially isn’t just encouragement—it’s freedom. Freedom from lack. Freedom from constant pressure. Freedom to live, give, and move forward without being held back.

Scripture shows us that poverty was part of the curse (Deuteronomy 28), but Galatians 3:13 tells us that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. That means provision has already been made. The question is not whether God has provided—it’s whether we’ve learned how to walk in it.

John 8:32
You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Freedom begins with truth—but it doesn’t end there. It requires action.

Obedience Positions You for Increase

Over the years, I’ve seen a consistent pattern. When people ignore God’s principles—especially in areas like giving, stewardship, and obedience—things tend to tighten. But when they begin to align with His ways, things begin to open.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…

That’s not just a spiritual concept—it’s a principle of increase.

Obedience positions you for increase.

Your attitude toward money matters more than most people realize. If you believe money is evil or something to avoid, you’ll likely never step into abundance. But Scripture is clear—God is not against you having wealth. He is against greed. He is against misplaced priorities. He is against anything that replaces Him in your heart.

Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…

You already have the ability. God has placed it within you. But it must be activated through faith, discipline, and obedience.

Step Into More Than Enough

There is a place of “more than enough.” Not just survival—but provision, generosity, and impact. Enough to meet your needs, bless others, and fulfill what God has called you to do.

But stepping into that place requires a decision.

  • A decision to change how you think.
  • A decision to be corrected where needed.
  • A decision to act on what you know.

This isn’t about luck. It’s about alignment. You are not meant to live limited, stuck, or constantly behind. There is more available than you’ve experienced—and it’s not out of reach.

It begins when your thinking changes…and your actions follow. You are destined for Radical Wealth. Get your copy at the Homecoming event on April 25, learn more at DaveWilliams.com/Homecoming.
